Philadelphia, 1848. Lithograph with beautiful original hand coloring. McKenney and Hall's hand colored lithographs remain some of the most beautiful records of Native Americans ever produced in the nineteenth century. These lithographs were created from oil paintings that were done as studio portraits of Indian leaders and members of their parties when they came to Washington D.C. to sign treaties. A signer of many Sioux treaties, and the namesake for Sleepy Eye Minnesota. $350 |
